At SandWizard our product embraces necessary
multiple intelligences providing great learning
opportunities for children in the sensory motor stage of
learning, we create awareness of and stimulate interest in
art among children of all ages.
We have two optional programmes to suit your needs.
Option 1
- We visit you at your centre:
Our Workshop begins with our trained
SandWizard staff arriving with everything required for the
workshop:
• Colourful tables
with buckets containing a variety of over 16 sand colours.
• Display screen with designs and lots of stock for children
to choose from.
• The children are entertained during a 90 minute session in
excited and controlled surroundings.
• Our bright, colourful and professional display creates a
happy environment that will encourage children to explore
their creative skills and have lots of fun at the same time.
• Once artwork is finished all masterpieces are laminated so
they can keep their treasured artwork for years to come.
• Every child achieves a great result which they are so
proud of so we encourage them to show Mum and Dad at home by
giving them all a FREE Take Home Kit to create together.
 Option
2 - Purchase the Do It Yourself SandWizard Activity Box:
We send you everything you need to conduct your very own
SandWizard Workshop at times to suit you.
Whenever you need to restock your Activity Box simply call
us for your refill requirements.

• Fine Motor Skills
Strengthening fine motor skills, the student peels off
separate pieces of precut, pre glued areas on the card and
sprinkles different coloured sands, of their choice, onto
the exposed area. Although spillages can occur, the sand can
be returned into the container and reused easily. The
decision making of the sand colour choices results in an
individual masterpiece for each child to treasure.
• Aesthetic Awareness
As the children build on the different sections of their
design, they think positively about their creative skills
and have a real sense of self – expression. A positive and
developing sense of self – understanding they feel proud of
when they complete the task or master a new skill. This
pride and sense of accomplishment builds their confidence
allowing them to take calculated risks to learn and achieve
more.
• Cognitive
Firstly, using a sequence of peeling off and sprinkling sand
to complete the outline; then creatively deciding which
colours and areas to complete next. Logical decision making
is also required to decide the colours and choices available
to complete the design one step at a time.
• Spatial
Children consider the attribute of picture design and how
they will use their own creativity to ensure amounts of sand
required and sprinkle them in the appropriate place. Fingers
&/or spoons can be used in the activity.
• Social/Emotional
When a child interacts with others, he/she contemplates
their decisions and becomes involved as part of the group’s
task. Teachers can encourage children to look at each
other’s work and share and discuss the different attributes
of their creation. With many designs to choose from,
children are easily motivated to express their creativity
with another design. They become proud of their achievement
and anxious to share their artwork with each other and those
at home.
• Linguistic
Encourages a child to use a thought process sequence which
leads them to create and work towards being able to produce
the final product on an individual basis. Resulting in a
positive achievement this develops creative and imaginative
thinking.
SandWizard covers the above concepts adhering to the NADC
Council Inc’c Quality, Improvement and Accreditation System
ensuring children are mastering their fine motor skills in a
creative and encouraging atmosphere.
